For general use, you need a good brush and a stylus cleaner. I use an Audio Quest brush and Last Stylus Cleaner.
Every dusty or dirty record deservers a good cleaning. You'll be amazed at how much the sound quality improves after a
cleaning. I highly recommend you clean your dirty records right when you first get them. If you take care of them, you
only have to do it once.
Here is my method. It works, it's cheap, it's quick. Buy a gallon of distilled water, dump out a cup and add a cup of
isopropyl alcohol. Wet a cotton cloth with the solution. I use new or clean tshirts. Soak the record. Rub it down.
Rub in a circular motion with the grooves. Don't get the solution on the label. Dry it with another clean cotton cloth
before it evaporates. It makes a record sound like new or as good as it is going to sound given its condition.
